Thanks to a friend, I began blogging in 2006. It’s been quite the journey, one with numerous ups and downs. As I reflect on my years in the blog-o-sphere, I realize most of the “ups” happened when I simply shared my story; when I worried about messy, true words instead of platform, performance, and purpose.
I miss the days when all that mattered was a pretty spot on the internet to pen my process.

The last two years have yielded more change than any other season in my life. I am discovering that in this space and time, I need to return to the unsophisticated place of telling my story without worrying if the plot line has rabbit trails or if it deviates from the main theme. You see, I am on an amazing journey, and if I am not careful I am going to miss it. I need a space beyond my journal to catalogue my life, to celebrate my victories, to mourn my losses, to work out my questions. This has always been that sacred space. And so, it will be again.
It will be an honor if you join me on the journey, but I can’t tell you where we are going. For now, all I can say is enjoy the ride. In the end, I am sure we will have cultivated a beautiful tale. For it really is His story that we are living and telling.
And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.”
~ Philippians 1:6, ESV
Blessings on the journey,
Amy
